What I'm suggesting is running the IN for everyone in the Focus Group. If in the IN report you make the Focus Group the subject of the report you should get an individual narrative for each person in the Focus Group all in one report. As I said there would probably be a page break between each individual report. Run the report to a Word Processor and delete the page breaks. May not be exactly what you want but is the only thing I can think of that would be close...

It would seem that an IN report for those who were baptised with only the Baptism tag selected for output would give you what you want. You'd probably get one per page but could send to a Word Processor and eliminate the page breaks...just a thought....

Virginia is correct...in order to format the report even for display to screen a printer driver has to be installed....I just install the same printer driver that I use on my desktop on the laptop...that way the preview on the laptop should look as it would print if I printed from the desktop...

You are evidently starting a new project which brings up the Wizard. The Wizard assumes that most people are starting to build their genealogy with themselves and their families. You don't have to use the Wizard. Cancel out of it the use the Add Person. Select Add on the Menu bar and select Unrelated on the drop down...this will give you an add person window with the basic information for an individual. Start entering individuals for whereever you wish...

List of Events report with filter Tag Type Label Equals BIRTH AND Principal1 Primary Marker Off END

Try List of Sources and filter for Repository Number Equals [?] END and enter the number of the repositoty when you run the report.

Check and make sure that on the main screen of the Report Definition window that you have selected "Use the Current Focus Person" or if "One Person" is selected make sure the correct individual is indicated...

You are misinformed about how the indexing works between TMG and Word (or Word Perfect). TMG does not create an index report. TMG marks the items to be index. The index has to be generated in Word. You can make any changes you want to text, insert additional information, insert other images if desirec, all of which will change the page breaks and where the indexed items appear on a page and then as the last step generate the index in Word.

You won't be able to "Open" the tmg4 backup but you are able to "Import" the tmg4 backup into the latest version or any version of TMG5 or TMG6,,,

External exhibits should be no problem...all of my exhibits are external...must have been something in the way they were added to TMG....glad you got it solved...

I just tried it with Embedded selected, all items below ticked, and for each person - all images and got all images I had attached to the individual. When you open the Exhibit log for the individual do images show in the log window? Click on the camera icon on the tool bar to open the Exhibit log for the individual. It should be green to indicate that there are images attached.

If you look closely at the Exhibit tab, the "with caption" is under "Center person images". This indicates that captions only appear under person images that are centered. Captions do not appear under images attached to tags. This is a short coming that many would like to see corrected. Second Site however will put captions with all images.

Did you follow the instructions that displayed before the report opened in Word about updating the Links in Word? If you did not get the instructions then no images were include. If that's the case what other items do you have selected on the Exhibit tab of the report?

Print out where? If you want them in a narrative such as the Journal Report or Individual Narrative you select "All variations and witnessed events" under the Tags tab under the Options. The only limitation is on charts where space is limited and where I would include tags of the types you mentioned anyway.

The "Not responding" on the title bar may be misleading in many cases. You need to CAD to bring up the Task Manager and if Performance is running near 100% then TMG is still processing. The "Not Responding" is a false indication by Windows as it doesn't detect that there are still processes active in TMG. This occurs quite frequently in operations that take a long time such as the generation of a large report or, as in you case, checking for duplicate people....

Right click in window and check "Show item tips" or In Preferences>Program Options>Item Tips check which windows you want the item tips to appear

What is this "Flood Control" message I get once in awhile when I click on View New Posts?

I get it if I happen to click on View New Posts a couple of time in succession.....no big deal...
