  1. Merging Placenames

BTW I envcountered another diff and read the Manual this time I have obtained coordinates of most of my places via tNg (diff software) However however how do i format the lat/longitude settings/coordinates to work in TMG cause it does not
  2. Merging Placenames

Hm That was a bit RTFM on my side ...sorry However it is a bit lacking especially the unused records with comments I can imagine that when cleaning you would like to get rid of some auitomatically It would be nice to merge places the way people can be merged
  3. Merging Placenames

Hi All My Project is created out opf several gedcoms and i have some duplicates in my master place list. The best example i can give is 1) Place= Delft Country=Netherlands 2) Place= Delft Country=Netherlands 3) Addresse=Old ChurchPlace= Delft Country=Netherlands 4) Addresse=Old Church Detail=plot xx21 Place= Delft Country=Netherlands I would like to merge 1 and 2 but not 3 and 4 due to their extra detail Is that possible
  4. Import Locations

Hi There new to tMg Soon I will have a online version via tNg sql backboned gen database online but the functionality in TMG is just to good to be missed however I have two annoying issues. When importing / exporting gedcom files is loose lat/long settings with placenames and placenames are imported as being countries This brings me to issue 2 I am non us based nor is my family ancestry I would have expected the globe under master place list Geonet Names Server on NIMA.MIL to auto correct some of these settings (At least to obtain lat long settings if city and countryt are corrected) Am I misinterpreting the functionality Or would the does the placeinfo.ini have to be amended and which of the following do i use (standard seems to be outdated since i get a 404) http://earth-info.nga.mil/gns/html/index.html Kind Regards B
