  1. I am trying to resize a memo variable in a sentence structure by using Format - Point Size. The structure, in part, looks like this: [LIND:] some text <; [size:]8;B:[M5]>[:LIND] This causes the B: to be the correct size but the data at [M5] is not resized to 8 point. So.... either I don't understand in which case I need educating or there is something not working right.
  2. Super; using 5/6 method solved the problem nicely. Thanks
  3. The problem still exists with the Journal report definition window and several others if the bottom line of the page is the task bar. The report definition screen can't be sized any smaller and doesn't allow room for the task bar. I have to remove the task bar to access the radio buttons for each report. Since I usually have several programs running concurrently, this is a hassel. The problem doesn't occur in Version 6.
  4. When the memo field of the Tag Entry screen has multiple lines in view and the last line is deleted, the cursor is positioned at the begining of the line above instead of at the end of the line above. Similarily, if the last line is replaced (highlighted and overtyped), the new input is not added to the end of the line above but inserted in at the begining of the line above. If, however, the last line is highlighted and then backspace is typed, the cursor is positioned properly. Wierd!
  5. I have a place style that I use for repositories but the citations do not appear to use the requested style. I do not enter "County" in the county firld but place it in the place style if any county name is entered. But the citations do not show "County" in the citations. Instead I get "Kansas City, Johnson, Missouri" instead of "Kansas City, Johnson County, Missouri".
  6. TMG 6.8 Place Style errors

OK, I now know the parameters of the problem. My style names all started with t,n) where t was the basic type number and n was a sequential number so the first one was 1.1) + an alpha descriptor of the format. The second was 1.2) + the alpha descriptor. When I changed them all to "Style 1.1) + there was no problem with any event or MPL place editing. I suspect the same change that added the 1: or 2: to the style names also caused my problem. In any event, I am in business again and furiously adding and editing my data as needed. Good luck finding the real cause. My problem is now solved.
  7. TMG 6.8 Place Style errors

Some additional information. The problem arrises because my place names start with numberics. I replace one of them with an alpha name and there was no problem.
  8. TMG 6.8 Place Style errors

I try to edit any event or MPL entry which doesn't have the newly added place style. I then am presented with an Edit Place Style screen which will add a new place or replace an old place style if the name is the same.
  9. TMG 6.8 Place Style errors

Teresa I didn't notice ANY prefix to my place style names before 6.8. They always just had my place style names. Since my style names all start with numerics, putting the 1: in front of them is a real distraction also.
  10. TMG 6.8 Place Style errors

I only have one dataset but I have many (20) place styles including the one I added after installing 6.8. I can't edit any entry with a place style other than the last one without getting into the place style edit screen.
  11. I have just updated to TMG 6.8 and now have a real problem. I first noticed that used place style names are preceded with a 1: when they hadn't been in 6.7. Then I made the mistake of adding a new place style. Now I can't edit any tag with a place style other than the new place style without winding up on an edit place style window which is trying to add a new place style like the old one. There is no way out except to "X" out or Cancel out. Every attempt to save the changes goes to the place style add. If an add is accepted, a new place style is created which must then be deleted from the Master Place Style windows. This is making editing of my data a horrendous chore.
  12. v6.05-Tag Entry

This problem is re-occurring in the latest release of TMG (6.07.000). I hope there is an update soon to correct it as it is really bugging me since I am making a lot of changes to name types.
