Thanks for your help guys. As I only had a couple of entries with the 1911 census I decidedto delete the tag and start again from scratch. It seems to have righted it for whatever reason as nothing has changed as far as I can see. Wonders of computers and stuff.

Checked that and all appears okay ie everything in UK english. Even created a new 1911 and changed stuff to see if it made any difference and its doesn't. Its okay in TMG7 but its when it uploads to SS.

I have created a new tag for the 1911 census in TMG7 and also amended the text to say 1911 instead of 1901. However, when I transfer my site into Second Site to upload it shows the 1911 census as 19011. Has anyone any ideads or is this just a bug please? I'm using second site v3. Thanks.

The original text was 7th (TA) Lancashire Fusiliers and Border Regiment. I solved it by putting (TA) 7th Lancashire Fusiliers and Border Regiment and all is fine. Simple when you know how Whoopee..... Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Magic.... I know exactly now where the problem is arising cos the military unit is the 7th TA Lancashire Fuseliers. I think I can enter it in a different fashion ie spell out seventh maybe and get around it that way. I will of course also look at the thread you suggest. Thanks so much for replying so quickly.

I have just set up a source for "Military Record". Unfortunately where it asks for Record Type, Person, Military Unit etc I can enter all the information required appart from military unit. When I try to add it it just defaults to the persons name for record number 7. I want to put the Border Regiment in and a message comes up saying..... "there is currently a link to ID number 7. You can change the primary name of that person to override the citations to control the way the field is output" "if you want to change the link here instead, it will disconnect by ID number". Doesn't happen, just keeps putting back the name of the person in ID number 7. How do I get rid of it. Thanks.

Thanks for the assistance. Actually, I have now managed to solve the problem. I unstalled TMG and re-installed it and its working okay. Must have had a glitch for some reason. Thanks.

I have had TMG for a while but not done a lot with it as no time. However, with the information I have put on there I wanted to back it up to a disk. It won't let me and the error message I get is: "Input file read failure - This error occurs when a file read operation is performed on a ZIP file that is locked or restricted by another process. Please check the destination drive". Also when I try to get updates I get the error message "The application in c:\program files\the master genealogist was installed by (my name) but it is not properly associated with the update engine so it cannot check for updates. Please make sure that this software is installed properly". As far as I know it is installed properly and was allowed to install where it wanted to on the computer. Anyone any ideas. Thanks.
