When I bought a copy of Version 6 three years ago, I downloaded it and didn't buy a CD. Just yesterday I had to have the hard drive replaced and now I no longer have V. 6 on my computer. I really don't want to upgrade to V. 7 as I don't need all the bells and whistles. Is there anyway I can find a copy of V. 6 to download?

After three years I don't think I have a serial number laying around. At least I can't find it.

I did download it was able to restore most of my backed up data. Thanks again. How do I get rid of that 30 day screen or maybe I can't?

I'm having a problem creating any Journal reports. I haven't had any problems in the past but now when I select Print and Save, I get a message that the person has no descendants. I've made sure I have selected more than 10 generations and descendants in the options, but it doesn't help.

I have found that I have to be logged into the adminstrator's account on my XP computer if I want to add anything in my TMG genealogies. Is there anyway to get around this? Kind of a pain to be using the limited account on the Internet, find something to add to TMG, and then have to switch accounts.

It's been over two years and I suspect I did install it as a single user. I was really ignorant about the difference between limited and administrator accounts when I switched over to Widows XP. Reinstalling may be more trouble than it's worth. At least now I know what I did wrong. Thanks.

It doesn't matter who I select, it tells me there are no descendants. Like I said, I didn't have any trouble creating Journal reports before. I can't see that the settings are any different.

My 30 day free trial is almost over and I want to purchase a key, but when I go to the site it only gives me the option of buying and downloading. But I don't want to download another copy. Am I missing something?

I'm trying out the 30 day trial version and I can't discover how to unlink a child from the wrong mother.

I have downloaded the 30 day trial version and I don't see any way to create a journal report and send it to a Word file. Is this because the trial version doesn't have all the features unlocked?

Okay I see how to do it now. It's going to take me a while to get used to Version 6 after using 4 for so many years.

I downloaded v6 for a 30 day trial and I find that I am totally lost when I try to create any kind of report. I have been using v4 since it first came out and the terms for the reports in v6 are entirely different. What has happened to Genealogy Report (Register) and Genealogy Report (Modified Register)? It seems to me a simple program has been made difficult. I've tried the Help file but I guess I'm too dense to get it.

I was trying to create a Word file report and this application error came up. FOXPROW caused a General Protection Fault in Module FOXBAR.FLL at 0001:2E3E Chose Close Foxprow will close Now everytime I open TMG this application error comes up and shuts the program down. Never mind. It seems to have been solved by just rebooting the computer. I hope that's it. I still have the same error problem and I think the time has come to upgrade to version 6.

With the help from a Wholly Genes Tech, I can finally create reports. She had me put the ctl3d.dll file in \windows\system and it worked.

I've tried installing ctl3d.dll in the TMGW directory and the WINNT\System32 directory, but nothing works. I even have been getting advise from a Tech by e-mail. Thanks for everyone's help anyway.

Well, I got the first file down loaded okay, and I don't get that error message anymore, but I'm still dead in the water without the rrwexp.dll file. Unless someone has the file, maybe the best thing is to just upgrade to version 6.0. I didn't want to spend the $79 or $59 bucks if I didn't have to. I just found a copy by googling and downloaded it but I still get the same rrwexp.dll file error. I think the problem is this rrwexp.dll file isn't compatible with version 4.0d.

I recently installed version 4.0d on Windows XP and found out I can't create any reports, except in Word format. I assume it's because of the missing ctl3d.ll file. I read the above post, but I'm not quite sure how to extract that file and put it in the TMG file. could someone give some very basic instructions on how to do it?
