I tried to open tmg; the program appeared to start up normally to the welcome screen; when I try to open a project (even the Sample project) I get an OLE error Ox80040154: class not registered 177 AppObject.show if I abort, I am left with an empty window and the menu bar; if I go to File->Exit, I get another error: Unknown member ROSTATUSBAR method MShutdown line 156 foxcode table not found, is not correct version, or is incompatible. if I ignore, the same error comes up at line 157, and then ignore lets the program close. I am using Windows 7; the program has worked before under Windows 7; I have the latest version (7.4), and I have reinstalled TMG--same errors. I am very frustrated with the clunkiness of this program. what should I do next? Ken

I was rather surprised myself that this does not seem to be an option. I was able to do this in FTM Is there a work around in TMG?

I would like a report that outputs five generations per sheet, with unknown ancestors showing up as a blank on the tree, like the Pedigree report does ... However, I would like to format the boxes and lines based on Flag values and add color, just like the Ancestor Chart does. Pedigree doesn't seem to allow formating of lines and boxes; Ancestor Chart seems to assemble in the most compact form possible, not allowing for empty blanks in the tree. What are our options here? Ken

I am wondering why can't we tie a person from one data set to another; I have one line separated in its own dataset, but would like to connect one end of the line ancestor from one dataset to the beginning of line ancestor in another dataset. --Ken
