  1. Relationship Calculation

Two linked problems exist. First the relationship display shows the relationship of my 10th great grandmother as the wife of my 10th great grandfather. It should be my 10th great grandmother. Their son is linked to both parents as their son. A marriage for his parents is there also. Second, when I click on the relation tag for the wife and ask for the calculator to show the relationship, it list her as both my 10th and 11th great grandmother. The correct relationship is my 10th great grandmother. Is there any way to correct this problem?
  2. I descend from two siblings. One sibling is shown with the correct relationship of "....grandmother" while the other sibling is shown as "....uncle". Despite refreshing relationships, the error remains. I have tried unlinking and relinking, and also unlinking and creating a new person as father, then merging the new father with the "uncle" - then the correct relationship is shown but the new person always has the new identity number, rather than retaining the old (and I have tried ticking each before merging ). I need to retain the identity number as it relates to references outside the database. Help please.
  3. Does anyone know how to create a custom tag that will show whether a person in my file is a blood relative or not? I don't want to have to type it in for each of my 2000 relatives, so I would want it to be automated in some way. This would be similar to the automatic relationship tag, but I need to be able to use it to filter my project. This is becoming more important when I share my tree for autosomal DNA tests. Just sharing pedigrees is not enough because not everyone can trace their ancestry back as far as I can, and I have descendants of many collateral ancestors that I want to share. Just a Y/N tag would be helpful, but if there is a way to copy the results of the automatic relationship tag, that would be fine, too. If someone is related to me in multiple ways, it would be OK to record the entry as "multiple." Thanks, Crystal
