jenealogy 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 In the Output form for a source to an event, I have: [TITLE], [RECORD TYPE], [REPOSITORY]<, [RECORD INFO]>, [REPOSITORY ADDRESS]< [FILM]> When I go to Full footnote Preview, I get the following: 1860 Ohio Census and Index, Originals, unknown repository, unknown repository address I assume that the info on the repository comes from what I put in under Attachments --> Repositories for this source. I have put in: 243 FHL This refers to the repository in the Master Repository List: Repository # 243 Abbreviation: FHL Name -ID #: 0 Name - Other: Family History Library Detail: 35 N West Temple Street City: Salt Lake City State: Utah Postal: 84150 So I am wondering why it shows "unknown repository, unknown repository address" in the Full footnote Preview? Any thoughts? Thanks - jenealogy
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 First, make the repository source elements in your templates conditional so that you don't get messages like this. [TITLE], [RECORD TYPE] Check that on the source Attachments tab that the repository link is marked primary and that the link really is to repository #243. jenealogy 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 Thank you, thank you! It wasn't marked as primary. Also good observation about making the repository as optional. I'm trying to think of why, if there is no other repository, the citing would not include the single one and it's location, etc. I can see the necessity of having a primary designation if there is more than on repository.
