dreward 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 I have noticed there is a small band of EUDORA enthusiasts within the TMG family. I am loathe to part with this program which I have used since version 0.8(1982?) but with the imminent release of Windows 7 and an unrealistic phobia against Outlook(Express), I am looking for a replacement. Why? Whilst Eudora works well enough in Vista(I am an XP user), I am wondering whether this would be so with the new Windows 7? Has anyone loaded 7 and tried Eudora with it? Or has anyone tried an alternative mail program that has the same visual properties and ease of use as Eudora? Any advice and thanks Dave
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 I have no idea what your Outlook Express comments mean. Win7 does not include an email client and you have to find your own in any event. A Google search will show you that people have Eudora running under Win7. It looks like it would make sense to think about moving to Thunderbird with the Penelope extension (which is developed by the former Eudora developers). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penelope_(e-mail_client)
