206bones 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2010 Looking for some help from the group... I want to create a list of citations associated with a person and all ancestors of that person. I'm sure TMG can do this but I just don't know how. Thanks. Cindy
Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2010 Cindy, In TMG citations are associated with Tags - Names, Events, and Relationships - not with people. So to get what you want you need to be able to get a list of citations for all tags in which specific people are entered. I don't believe you can do that; at least I can't figure out how. Michael Hannah 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Hi Cindy, How about simply running a Journal report of that person, with Options set fro Ancestors and to select all tags. Set Sources to produce Endnotes, and Publication Tools to produce a Bibliography. You could ignore the actual report, but I think the Endnotes and Bibliography would be close to what you want? Hope this gives you ideas,
Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Clever idea, Michael. If you run the Journal to screen you can easily ignore it, and then run the Endnote or Bibliography report to pick up the citations you want.
