John K 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 I recently had to reinstall Windows on my computer, along with all of my other programs, including TMG. Now, when I start TMG I get the following error message: Exhibit folder "C:\My Documents\The Master Genealogist v7\Exhibits\" was not found. Do you want to use default Exhibit folder? [yes or no] Since I do not use the exhibit feature of TMG, this is only a minor annoyance. (Whether I click yes or no, everything appears to run correctly.) However, I worry that if TMG cannot find this folder (it DOES exist - exactly where TMG says it is looking), perhaps it cannot find something that is more important. Does anyone have any ideas about how I can fix the problem that TMG is having?
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2010 The program is simply saying that: "C:\My Documents\The Master Genealogist v7\Exhibits\" does not exist. Make sure that the exhibit path in Preferences is set to the default path. File / Preferences / Current Project Options / Advanced / Exhibits Make sure that all of the Advanced paths are correct while you're at it. Refer to Help / Data File Storage for help. John K 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 Thank you. It turns out I had a second "My Documents" file hidden away that held not only the Exhibits, but several other items as well.
