jkbrown2 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2011 I am using TMG7 and recently moved data over to a new laptop. On my old laptop I had it set up so that when I hovered the mouse over a tag on the person screen I could seen the data in the memo file. This was a big help in finding the tag I was looking for without having to open each tag. I cannot find how to set this up on my new laptop. Can someone tell me how to set the mouse over viewing of tags?
Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2011 That option can be found at Preferences > Program Options > Item Tips > Show Item Tips on the Person View. Virginia
jkbrown2 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2011 OK, I did see that in preferences, but it didn't sound like what I was looking for so I didn't try it. I will check it out tonight. Thanks!
Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2011 I agree, the term 'Item tip" is not particularly descriptive. For others who may not have found that option, note in the screenshot that hovering over an item - like the Occupation tag - in the Name/Place column of the Person view will expand the memo field for viewing. Similar 'item tips' are available for other Windows. Virginia

Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2012 Note that the option to show item tips is also on the rightclick menu in the Details, Children, Siblings, and Associates windows in the layout. Virginia
