Cosmetic problem with message creating new project

Creating a brand new project, from the "Create" button from loading TMG 8.01, I got an announcement that "This project was created in an earlier version of The Master Genealogist. The current version includes hundreds of new default roles and sentences ....."

 

Only cosmetic, so no rush to get it fixed.

2) I tested Welcome / New and File / New Project and got no such message.

I am also surprised at your message. It sounds to me like the system "new project" files being used are either Version 7 files, or from the very early public Beta version. I would backup all your projects, completely uninstall Version 8 and then do a clean full install of Version 8.01. You may need to re-enter your registration, but I would do this to be sure I had everything clean and fully up to date.
