Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2012 On the Add dropdown list, along with Son and Daughter is an option to add Child. On the next screen add a Second Parent, click OK and then select the sex of the child: Male, Female, or Unknown. The keyboard shortcut to Add Child is Alt a c. Chaplin 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2012 I see in the Add person box there is a "Children" under so & Daughter, but it is shaded out & I cannot click on it! So I am still lost!
Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2012 You don't want to go all the way to the Add Person screen; just click the Add button and on that drop down list, cursor down to the Child option. Here is a screeenshot: Let me know if you still aren't finding it - Virginia

Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2012 Chaplin, Or, you can add a son or daughter, then change the Sex Flag to "?" - you get the same result. To explain about the issue with the Add Person screen... The option to add a "Child" has never appeared there because it is uncommonly used. But when the "add multiple people of this type" feature was added, the option for "Children" was included so you can add children of both sexes at one time, specifying for each which sex to apply. It is dimmed until you check the "add multiple people of this type" box.
