Change Tag group

I inadvertently created a in the "Other event" group when I intednded to creat it in the "burial" group.

It seems that I cannot merely delete the tag and start over.

Is there a work around?

You can't delete the tag type if it's in use. You can create a tag type in the Other group and change the tag type in the tags using the tag type you want to delete and then delete the tag type.

 

And you can change the tag type group using TMG Utility.

You cannot delete the tag type if someone has been assigned a tag of that tag type. If you only have a few instances of that tag type, first delete the tags themselves when within the Details of those people. Then once no one is assigned a tag of that type, now you will be able to delete the tag type and start over.
