Michael Vance Baker 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2015 Help, I am trying to determine what can TMG v9 on a 64 bit machine do that the 32 bit cannot. From what I have read, the ability to generate some reports??? Could someone help discern the differences, advantages, pros and cons Thanks, Michael B
Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2015 Michael, I think you have the issue a bit confused. TMG 9 is a totally 32-bit program. It works equally well on either a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows. There are no differences. Some older versions of TMG included some 16-bit code in the report writer modules. Those modules, which produce the output of reports in some formats, to word processors for example, could not work on a 64-bit version of Windows. Thus if you are running those versions of TMG (7 and prior, if I recall correctly) on a 64-bit version of Windwos you cannot output reports in those formats. Upgrading to TMG 9 solves that problem.
