Judy M. 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2022 (edited) I was just about to do a restore to a temporary restore folder and noticed that I have to choose a folder to restore configuration files and timeline files. Should they also be restored to the temporary folder? I don't recall noticing this before. (IOW, I didn't pay enough attention!). My exhibits are all external, so they're not an issue. Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2022 Judy, As explained when you asked this question on the TMG list last week, if it's a temporary restore to test the ability to make a restore, it doesn't matter. It only matter if you are intending to use the restore to enter new data.
Judy M. 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2022 Terry, The person who responded said, " I expect many others will frown on this procedure," after saying, "I don't bother setting the config (and friends) files to be restored to a test folder, I just let them go to the original location(s)." Therefore, I wasn't sure whether it was the right thing to do. Thanks for the confirmation. Judy Madnick Albany, NY
