Michael Hannah 0 Report post Posted October 20 (edited) Hope you are still monitoring this Forum, Jim Byram?? My main project which I have been using for decades has developed a new error. I hope you can help. I create a new source, go to its Attachments tab, click on the '+' to add a repository, TMG pops up the Repository Link Entry Screen. I then click on the 'binocs' to select a repository and get the error: Index does not match the table. Delete the index file and re-create the index. 20 FRMREPOSITORY2_RNLISTROWS_ASSIGN If I click "Ignore" the Master Repository List pops open and I am able to select an link a repository to the source. Further any later attempts to link a repository during that TMG session do not produce the error. But if I exit and reopen TMG I get the error. I have done all the maintenance routines, including reindex, and even deleted all CDX files to have them recreated. Has no effect on this error. Any suggestions? I hate running with an existing repeatable error. ============== Edit update I followed your advice from other posts and tried running the installer in Repair mode. No effect. Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted October 20 Michael, I can't replicate the error. Based on the error message, I'm surprised that your efforts to refresh the index file didn't work. Maybe there's an error in the repository table or memo file. If you haven't added a repository since your last backup, add the repository .DBF and .FPT files from your last backup (or a previous backup). Be sure to reindex after the change. Michael Hannah 0 Report post Posted October 25 Okay, took some testing to "try" to understand this, as it also does not "always" replicate for me. While I also cannot reliably reproduce this I have developed the belief that it is caused by a combination of two factors. First, I believe it more often occurs when the Master Repository List is set to sort by ID number. Next it only occurs for me when trying to add a repository to the Source. The Repository Link Entry Screen will open with zero in the Repository ID field. Clicking directly on the binocs to immediately show the Master Repository List "sometimes" produces this error. But pressing F2 to show that List always seems to work. Usually the first attempt at this just after opening TMG is error free!? It is later attempts (after who knows what activities) which (sometimes) produce the error. I HATE these intermittent errors! I suspect TMG is sometimes trying to open to a repository with an ID of zero which is causing this, but cannot reliably repeat it. Oh well, thanks for looking at this. I am choosing to ignore this and develop the habit of using F2, although new habits are hard when one is 80!! Thanks again,
