Witness roll drop down menu not functioning

I just downloaded 6.04 hoping that it would fix a problem that I have had with 6.03, but unfortunately it did not. The drop down menu for witness roles does not function. I have entered a lot of marriages with no way to select minister or justice of the peace for the officiators. I'm keeping a file of records I am going to need to correct. Any idea when this problem will be fixed? Or are you even aware of it?

Do you get the drop down roles on Principal 1 and 2? Or just when you select Add Witness?

If you go to File, Preferences, Data entry is the Data entry Mode Basic or Advanced?

 

Basic entry gives no Witnesses or roles only Principals.

Advanced gives all the functions.

I've never seen a problem with that drop-down. If I click on the name of the role itself, it opens, as it does if I click on the down-arrow. I do find it a bit touchy if I click on the far right edge of the little button with the down arrow - it sometimes fails to open then. But as long as I click somewhere near the center of the button it works fine for me.

Well, for Pete's Sake! (who ever in the heck Pete is) If I click in the middle of the "witness" role itself the drop down menu drops down. There is no place on the arrow that works. Trust me, I've tried it over and over. I consider this to be a bug.

This is very non-standard. Thanks, Terry for mentioning that the clicking on the item itself works. I mostly sent this message on this list because someone said this was the place to get the developers to notice it. I had previously sent it to Lee Hoffman's list. I'm sure that I have their attention yet.

I appreciate that, Terry! I need to go in now and correct the marriage records I entered in the last week, where the minister or justice of the peace is listed as a witness. I'm at least glad that there is a way to do it. I wish the TMG support would be as responsive as Legacy's is. Every now and then I think about going back, for exactly this issue. But, then I think, I just can't, mostly because of the roles and sourcing.
