NeilMcD 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2006 If I move a person from one data set to another, TMG copies many (but not all, and I can't see a pattern) Source Types to the second data set - irrespective of whether or not that Source Type is used in the person's tags, or indeed in the originating data set at all. I end up with a lot of duplicate source types (identically named, not for example Census and Census1 which I have seen at some stage), These don't disappear when I optimise, so I have to go through the Source Type List and remove each duplicate, one at a time. Is this the designed and expected behaviour? I would have thought it reasonable to copy the Source Types that are used in the person's tags, as they may have been customised differently in the two data sets. But I don't see the need to copy unused Source Types. On the last occasion, I was moving the person from DS2 to DS3, because he (a new person) was incorrectly added to DS2 when only DS3 was enabled. Might this quirk have something to do with it? It doesn't always happen. Neil
