mroddyn3 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2006 Hi, Is there any way to get a combined timeline/report for multiple people? My example is this. I have a family whose kids were born in the 1860s. As those kids grew up and started families of their own, I would like some report that would say Sister1 had a daughter in May 1891 and sister2 had a daughter in July 1891 and Brother1 was the godfather of Sister1's daughter at her baptism in June 1891. I want to see how these families interacted with each other and get a sense for how the next generation might have interacted with each other - were their kids going to the same school at the same time, etc? Hope someone knows a way to do this. Thanks, Mary
altenbernd 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2006 Part of what you want to do can be done with witnesses. For instance at Sister1's daughters baptism, you would add Brother1 as the Godfather to the baptism event. This event will now show for both families. In an education event you could list the elementary school the kids attended and list who from each family was attended that year or range of years. Thanks, Mary The easiest way would be to create an unrelated person [example: Boland Family Timeline] and then make that "person" a witness to any event entered for any member of the family. You could then run an Individual narrative for that person for "all events plus witnessed" and, since the only events this person would have would be witnessed family events, you'd get a chronological listing of all family events.
