Backup Location

Recommended Posts

When I first began working on a project, I backed it up on my A drive. Now I want to change and place it on a CD.

The backup wizard does not offer this option. How can I change the backup location?

Thanks,

Martha

Hi Martha,

You can change the backup path in File, Preferences, Current Project Options, Advanced.

Bu unless you can set your CD up for direct access, such as in Roxio then, it is not possible to backup directly to a CD. The best way is to backup to a folder on your hard drive and then copy that backup file to the CD

Set the backup path in Preferences > Current Project Options > Advanced.

Note, however, that you may not be able to backup TMG directly to your CD - depending upon how your CD software is set up. In that case, make the backup to a folder on your C: drive and copy the .sqz file to your CD.

Thanks Jeff. I will try it right now.

Another option you might consider is a "pen drive." No special software is needed to perform the backup. Just change the preferences as Jeff described and you'll be good to go.
