report will not open in word

Recommended Posts

I created a journal report of all the people in my database. I did this twice just in cast. When I try to open the file in ms word, a box comes up with invalid doc name or invalid path. Check file permissions, located doc folder. The doc folder and file are in the correct folder. What about file permissions. I've never run into this before.

This strange message from Word means that your report has too many footnotes or endnotes.

Some things to try:

- Reduce the number of generations

- Change to "Unique" endnotes (they are plain text - they don't renumber when you edit them)

- Specify a different version of Word in TMG - it might help.

- Try using Rich Text file instead of a Word File.

I had this problem, but it went away when I upgraded to Word 2003.
