GenSmarts icons missing

GenSmarts v2.1.1.30 runs properly from TMG v7's Tools menu but the expected icons (available online, fills missing data, task exists, etc.) are not visible. This is because those icons were not properly copied by the program to the necessary folder. This will be fixed in the next update to TMG but, in the meantime, you can easily fix it yourself.

 

Simply copy (do not move) the GRAPHICS and BUTTONS folders from the TMG program folder to the shared program data folder, replacing the two existing folders with the same name. Specifically:

 

COPY FROM...

The TMG program folder (unless you changed it during installation) is C:\Program Files\The Master Genealogist v7. It contains a folder called GRAPHICS and one called BUTTONS.

 

COPY THOSE FOLDERS TO...

In Windows XP and Windows 2000, the destination folder is:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\The Master Genealogist v7

 

In Windows Vista, the destination folder is:

C:\ProgramData\The Master Genealogist v7
