Mistake - made changes on two computers
Jesper Beenfeldt Nielsen replied to Jesper Beenfeldt Nielsen's topic in The Master Genealogist v8
Thank you very much, Terry. It sounds like something that will help me get on the track again. I will bring my computers together and synchronize by hand. -

Mistake - made changes on two computers

I have made a stupid mistake and need help. I have worked on the same project on two different computers. I normally back up and restore to be able to work on the project on two computers. But I made a mistake, so now I have two different versions of the same database. I know it is stupid, but what can I do now? Can I somewhere see, what my last changes were? Then I can manually recreate them in the other version. Is there something like a log of all your work somewhere? Thank you for any help. Rgds Jesper -

How do organize your exhibits? The easiest solution would be to include them in Dropbox. But then you have to have the same folder structure and folder names on both machines. Do you include all the different TMG-files in Dropbox? Rgds, Jesper

Gedcom export - no primary images?
Jesper Beenfeldt Nielsen replied to Jesper Beenfeldt Nielsen's topic in Older Products and Versions
Thank you Jim I thought the mark it was a part of the standard. Now I must rethink the process. In PhpGedView one can mark an image as the primary. But I guess this information disappears when one uploads a new version of the Gedcom-file. If somebody has an idea, it will be most welcome! Rgds Jesper Nielsen, Denmark -
Gedcom export - no primary images?
Jesper Beenfeldt Nielsen posted a topic in Older Products and Versions
I'm exporting a part of my TMG database to Gedcom because I will use it in phpGedView. For some of my individuals I have around 10 exhibits. In TMG I have for each individual marked the photo that should be used in charts, the primary exhibit. But when I export to Gedcom, this information is not included. Although the Gedcom-standard has a marker for this (_PRIM Y), as I understand it. Is there a way to include this information in the Gedcom-export? (I am aware of the possibility to export only the primary image, but I would very much like the other images on my website too). Thank you. Jesper Nielsen, Denmark -

Exhibit - many persons in one image

I've just started working with exhibits. I have one image with a lot of persons in it. Can I link this image to many individuals in my database in an easy way? Or should I just attach it to easch person one by one - and write the caption a lot of times? I work with external exhibits. Rgds Jesper Nielsen, Denmark
