Briangr 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2009 I'm using the trial version of TMG 7.04. The number of individuals seems to have imported correctly, but several marriages are not linked. For example I looked at one person, her marriage is OK, but the marriages of 4 of her siblings are missing, while 3 of them are linked correctly. The missing spouses are in the file, but not shown as married. Any ideas? Thanks
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2009 (edited) The question is whether a Marriage event exists. If FTM 2009 when you add a spouse, a Marriage event is not automatically created. The two individuals are considered to be 'spouses' on the basis of the Relationship flag and the Status flag. TMG has no equivalent flags. If a Marriage event exists, it should be imported. No blank Marriage event is created in TMG just on the basis of the relationship flags. Maybe it should be but that's not the case at the moment. I'll discuss this with the designer and see if he wants to make any changes. %%%%%%%%%% Bob says that a blank Marriage event should be created for those spouses. This was actually done for FTM 16 and earlier and the issue just didn't come up while the FTM 2008/2009 import was being developed.
