CWKate 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2010 I have apparently lost a file (or 2) and TMG will no longer load. I have v6.12. The first error message I get is that it can't load 32-bit DLL c:windows\system32\bblist.view.ocx If I click on ignore, it goes a bit further & then says : OLE error code 0x80040154: class not registered 40TMGAPP0BJ.DOFORM I haven't gone any further than that. I have a new registry cleaner & I also deleted some old programs & files that I never use anymore. What do I need to do to fix this and/or would purchasing v7 correct it? I was going to buy it anyway, just haven't gotten around to it. I run Windows XP on an older (5 years) Dell Inspiron laptop. I have the SP3 pack too. Thanks for any help. Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Refresh your installation using the TMG v6.12 full installer. Install over the top of the existing installation using the same settings and path as the current install. http://www.whollygenes.com/files/tmg6setup.exe I have a new registry cleaner & I also deleted some old programs & filesthat I never use anymore. It's very easy to create serious problems on your system using a registry cleaner that is too aggressive and you should never use a system performance enhancer. I would suggest using CCleaner for your file and registry cleanup. It removes what is necessary and is very conservative. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
CWKate 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 Thank you, Jim. I will try the install and I've already uninstalled the registyr cleaner.
CWKate 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 MANY, many thanks! This worked! I had tried a restore from my back ups & also the upgrade install from 6.0 to 6.12 but didn't find the link to install the whole program. Found my email & got it registered & all is well! Thanks again! Kathi Desko
autiger 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2010 Please help. I have been a user of TMG for quite some time, having originally been a user of the Roots programs, converting when TMG bought Roots. I have not, though, used the program for several years. I currently have TMG 6.12 on my old computer. I have the 5.x disk, so I must have upgraded online at some point. When I finally had occasion to get back to using the program, I encountered the problem described above, by CWKate. Following Jim's instructions, I downloaded and installed the program. It is now asking for the serial number, which I no longer have. How can I obtain my serial number?
