Explorer Filter does not work in V8

An Explorer filter used to work in V7, but does not work after changing to V8

When a child is still born or dies before christening I use GivenName = "child" and SEX = "?"
(if sex is not know)

In my "Audit reports" try to check typos so list should be empty, however now all instances show up in the list.
Filter "SEX = Equals ?" AND "GivenName Does not contain CHILD"

The problem appears to be the 'Does not contain' operator. The 'Does not contain' operator doesn't work.

Jim has edited his answer to explain - that operator is broken in TMG 8. It's been reported now.
