Thank you Terry, Jim & Michael, Actually I do have the book that you have quoted, guess after a couple of moves and not having done any research for more years than I care to admit, I completely forgot about it. Digging thru some boxes in storage I was able to locate it! I have started reading the chapter re: GEDCOM and am starting to understand. As Michael phrased, I am getting some ideas so I'll be able to do some 'trial & error' and proceed. I was also able to extract some information using Terry's post from Rootsweb. Thanks for that. I'll be kept busy for a bit with the above mentioned ..... don't be surprised if I come calling again for further clarification! Thanks so much - Derreck

Hi everyone, I'm trying to export my entire data base using GEDCOM 5.5. The destination of the export is to Reunion 9. What has gone well is the entire data base except for the tags. The notes have gone well, for example the tag marked 'misc' did not import. I'm at a loss on how to do that. As well, is their a way to determine what tags have been used in the data base? And if so, any way to print a report showing these? (I'm afraid I would need step by step instructions for any kind of a filtered report....) Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance - Derreck
