Lots of possibilities here. When you click "Save" it means it's saving the settings. Where the report is saved is determined by the Preferences you set (Preferences...Advanced...Reports), although you can overwrite this on the individual report screen.
If the report is opening in WordPad then you probably have a file association mixup. Assuming you selected a "Word" format on the report screen, it should have a ".DOC" extension. Then when TMG opens the report for you to look at, it uses the file association that you set in your Windows program...not in TMG. I don't remember much about Win98 so I'm not sure how to change the file associations, but maybe someone else does.
