  1. Is there a way to change the .jpeg extention to .jpg?

Edit (rename) the file and change the extension.

I found this forum while looking for an answer to the same problem. Your answer on changing the jpeg extension to jpg by renaming does not work for me in Windows Photo Gallery, which will only let me rename the file itself, not the extension. I don't really want to download another photo viewer program unless I can be guaranteed that it will work for renaming such photos successfully. I want to import some old family photos I've been sent into my database, and I have quite a few photos with the jpeg extension. Help, please.

  2. Help. This looks like the place to post my question. Since it looks like Wholly Genes still hasn't figured out how to make wordprocessing reports work with Windows Vista 64, I thought I could do a pdf report. However, I downloaded my TMG v 7.03.00 and stupidly didn't order a CD. I think my download didn't include this adobe pdf printer driver because when I look at printers I don't see it. Just a Microsoft XPS document writer. This computer replaced an old one that broke down and I couldn't salvage it. I need to do reports to give to cousins. HELP!

  3. My computer crashed and I had to buy a new one, which has Windows Vista Home Premium. Earlier this year I bought and downloaded TMG v7, since I had an older version of TMG and couldn't locate the disk after a previous crash... Anyway, I located the instructions for downloading and my serial number and downloaded it again and unlocked TMG on my new computer. Then I hit the check for update button and I keep getting this message:

"No application in c:\program files (x86)\the master genealogist v7 is associated with the update engine so it cannot check for updates. Please make sure that this software is installed properly."

Sigh. Since I downloaded it, do I need to uninstall and reinstall? I don't even know if that would fix the problem! Should I try to buy the program again with CD? I don't want to spend money I already spent...

    Help!

  4. Help. I'm still learning the ins and outs of TMG v6.4 after upgrading from v4d. In v4d it was pretty simple to select descendants of a given person and export a gedcom of that family. I've just been asked for a gedcom of a given family and looked to see how it was done in TMG v6.4. The directions are extremely confusing and I am not at all clear how to do it. Could someone walk me through it please?
