Backup

When I backup a project I get the following message: "input file read failure - this error occurs when a file read operation is performed on a ZIP file that is locked or restricted by another process. Please check the destination drive." I then check OK and I get a message the backup was successful. Everything seems to be OK but why do I get that message?

I get this message occasionally too. It happens for me when I'm backing up to my USB flash memory stick. I don't get it when backing up to my hard drive.

Where were you sending your backup? Hard drive, thumb drive, CD?

If you check 'Span disks' (even if you don't need another disk) on the 'backup characteristics' screen, it usually heads off that message.

That doesn't work. I was asked to insert 10 floppies when there is only one and then got a message "temporary file failure". The cure seems to be worse than the disease. I think the best thing is to live with it. Backup seems to work in spite of the error messages.
