chris sackett 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2006 I wish to produce name formatting in accordance with the NEHG Register style which requires names of principals and spouses to be in bold small capitals. TMG provides an option for small caps (but not bold) for the principal’s name in Journal Reports. It is not possible to apply bold formatting to the principal’s name by changing the birth sentence as no characters are allowed in the first sentence of a narrative before the variable “[P]”. Using “[bOLD:][P][:BOLD]” produces a repetition of the name: “FRANK ALEXANDER. , , Frank Alexander was born ...”. What I propose is that TMG allow formatting of the name so that a sentence like "[bOLD:][sCAP:][P][:SCAP][:BOLD] <[PAR]> was born <in [L]> <[D]>" could be used. This works fine in Second Site.
