_How does one add a brother or sister to a person in the data base if both parents are unknown? The steps for adding a person in the help section indicate it is possible to add a sibling, but we keep getting a message that says this isn't possible because neither sibling has a parent. This situation arises frequently when a testator whose parents are unknown, names a sibling in his will and you are trying to build a picture of the family

You have to have at least one parent to add a sibling. Most just add a father...you can be pretty sure of the surname for the father from the surname of the siblings. Add a father as (Unknown) Smith if surname is Smith. Use whatever you like to use for unknown names for the unknown given name.
