pete run 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2007 I'm moving between PCs and want to move TMG. I've done the download, install, serial number etc and opened up my transferred database. No problem. By opening up the old transferred database this seems to have copied accross many "preferences" presumably just for that database. Is there a way (file transfer I presume) to take all my preferences accros e.g. Program option preferences, destop features etc. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2007 A convenient way to transfer your preference options is to use Backup and Restore - backup on the old machine and restore to the new one. The backup options allow you to selectively backup customizations and projects. If you use backup and restore, it is very important to read the Help topic on Restore, in particular the caveats in the red Warning box in Step 3 of that topic.
