Ver 5 unlock codes not working - need to reinstall

Hi, My hard drive crashed and I need to reinstall my software . I successfully ran the installation for version 5.0 , but it won't let me unlock it with my serial number (I printed it out and saved it). I also have the upgrade for version 6 and its serial number (different from version 5's), but it won't let me run it without first activating version 5.0. Help.
