  1. TMG V7 on Windows 7

    Thanks, Jim.
  2. I'm sure this has been addressed, but will the latest version (TMG7) of TMG work on Windows 7? On both 32-bit and 64-bit installations? I'm gettng ready to upgrade to Windows 7 and I'm not sure what to do.
  3. Alias "File_N" not found?

Please could you post the anser as I am now having the same issue. John's project was damaged and he had to revert to his last backup which he had made the previous day. Here's what Jim told me that helped: > Deleting the .CDX files didn't help, and I couldn't get TMG to a state > where > I could actually restore a backup. I actually downloaded and reinstalled > TMG7, in an effort to try and restore the project from a backup, but it > just > goes back to "Alias "File_N" not found". So I'm in a loop and can't get > out. The problem is that the Welcome window isn't enabled and, when you start the program, it is opening your damaged project. Edit the app.ini file in the user program data folder and check the [startup] section (in the beginning). Set the welcome entries as follows: [startup] Welcome=2 WelcomeBack=2 Now you can start the program and restore your backup from the Welcome window. Jim
  4. Alias "File_N" not found?

Joan, yes I got this problem fixed, with help from Jim Byram. Thanks for following up!
  5. My laptop crashed (powered off) in the middle of a session, perhaps even while writing to disk. Don't know for sure. Now the machine is back on the air, and when I launch TMG7 I am getting this message "Alias 'File_N' not found". Options shown Cancel, Ignore, Help. Cannot load my project. Anyone have any ideas what I can do? Have I lost my project?
