This topic has appeared in bits and pieces in several posts over the past months. I think the following summarizes the posts on the best way to move data from TMG V6.12 gold on an XP computer to TMG V7.01 gold on a Vista computer. On the XP computer: Open TMG. Select File>Maintenance and run the Optimize and the Validate File Integrity options. Back up the project and customizations to a file on the hard drive (select the uncompressed option, if possible). Copy the resulting backup file to a flash drive. On the Vista computer: Select my Administrator account. Go online and purchase and download the Version 7.01 upgrade. Install Version 7.01. Switch to my User account. Copy the backup file from the flash drive to a file on the hard drive. Open TMG. Restore the backup file from the hard drive. Done. Did I understand this correctly?
