  1. My project was originally created in v5. When I first opened it a few days ago in v7, the 29 exhibits did not load. I got the frowny face on each thumbnail. The path to each of these was correct, i.e. C:Nadia/Genealogy/Titus Pics/Harriet Titus. I went through each file and clicked LOAD and reloaded each thumbnail. They were displayed for the project at that time. When I left the project and came back in, none of the photos were loaded. I got the frowny faces again. I even got a message at one point saying that the 29 exhibits did not load. How do I get these exhibits to stay loaded? Thanks! Barb
  2. I am sort of lost! I've been away from TMG a couple of years and am now trying to find my way back. I am drawn to TMG but it's hard in the beginning to get it all figured out. I have been trying to figure out external vs. internal for a couple of days. I have a TMG project that is a couple of years old. When I now opened it in v7, the exhibits did not open even though the file path and name was still the same. I want to be able to make a gedcom file, send it to my cousin and have the exhibits go with it. I do not have all the exhibits in one folder but in about 3 different folders in my Genealogy folder. The path listed the three different folders and was correct but I had to go to the folders and then LOAD the image and then the thumbnails and images could be viewed. Can someone please explain 1) external vs. internal, 2) where to locate the one folder (which I'm assuming this is going to come down to, i.e. Documents/TMG/Exhibits or Genealogy/Exhibits) and 3) how to make a gedcom file whereby the exhibits go with it? Thanks!!!
  3. PDF as Exhibit

Thanks Dave! I had gotten as far as "Your selection has been copied" one time but did not think to take it over to another program and paste it. Got it now! Barb
  4. PDF as Exhibit

I could not find a way to save a PDF file as a jpg, not even the page I was interested in. There is only a "Save As Text" function and that only saves the text portion that has been typed in, not if a book was scanned in. The only thing I could think to do regarding saving a googled or scanned book as an exhibit that would show was to print the pages that I was using as a source and then scan them as a jpg. Was anyone else able to extract the book as an image file?
