I'm baffled by vanishing shadows on box charts. I've been using 7.04 for some time, making many box charts, with a standard gray shadow on the boxes. Tonight I made a bunch of these charts (output to BMP) and at first couldn't figure out why they looked funny. Eventually it dawned on me that the shadows were missing. I tried changing the shadow settings - no joy. Tried outputting to Visual Chartform - still no shadows. Is this a known issue? Hopefully there's a fix?

Tried to reply, but was not allowed to create reply, so will create new topic instead. I'm curious why I would want to view the welcome screen? That's typically the first thing I kill for any app.

I am still using 4.0d because I've depended on an undocumented feature that was discontinued after that version. I still purchased upgrades through v6, but did not purchase v7. I'm considering upgrading at this time to v7, given the functionality available from Second Site, which may provide enough functionality to compensate for the loss of the feature I needed in the old version. My question is this: my data sets are still in 4.0d, but because I've purchased upgrades for versions through v6, I would only purchase the upgrade from v6 to v7. If I purchase the upgrade from v6, will I be able to install v7 without first installing v5 and v6? Does the install media for v7 validate what versions are actually installed on the machine, or is that simply a validation you do on the back end to verify that I've previously purchased the necessary version to qualify for the upgrade? I don't want to have to install all the intermediate versions and upgrade the database each time. I'd much rather just install v7 and upgrade the database directly from v4 to v7.
