  1. Hi, I use TMG 6.0.9 to manage my data, but I publish it by exporting to gedcom and importing to phpGedView. This works really well, although there are a few improvements I would like to request for TMG's gedcom export routine... 1) I spend the time in TMG to sort citations in a specific order. i.e. I want the 1900 US Federal Census to be listed as a citation before the 1910 US Federal Census. Please preserve this sort order when exporting to gedcom. 2) I really like the "Witness" feature in TMG and I use it when entering census data... I create a CENS tag for the head of household and then attach all of the other people in the household as witnesses. However, this information is lost during the gedcom export. Would you please consider "expanding the witnesses" for Census tags so that the full CENS tag is attached to each witness when exported to gedcom? This would also be useful for RESI and ADDR tags. thanks! -larry
  2. Gedcom exports

Aha! OK, I figured it out. I had inadvertently started the comment with a line of dashes, which caused the whole comment to be suppressed on export. It had nothing to do with attached images; thanks for getting me to double check my assumptions
  3. Gedcom exports

Woohoo! The paths export perfectly in v6.07, thanks! If I can add a 3rd item with gedcom exports... I have noticed that if a source has an image attached, whatever is entered in the "Supplimental" tab is exported into the NOTE portion of the source. However, if there is no image attached, then the Supplimental tab is not exported. Thanks
  4. Hi, I publish my gedcoms using PhpGedView ( http://www.phpgedview.net/ ). It has a feature where I tell it how much of my path I am replicating on the webserver, so... it would help a lot if the case of the entire path was correct. Currently I have to massage the gedcom output to be able to publish it. -larry
  5. Hi, I maintain my database in TMG v6.05, but export to gedcom and publish to the web using PhpGedView ( http://www.phpgedview.net/ ) I have two requests for gedcom exports: 1) When exporting a list of sources for a particular tag, please have them export in the order that they appear on the Tag Entry screen. Currently I believe they export in the order that the sources were added. 2) When exporting source details, please use the proper case in the complete filenames. Currently everything is in upper case, which causes problems when uploading to unix webservers. (PhpGedView has a great feature where you tell it how much of the path you are replicating on the webserver, so the case of the entire path is important) Thanks! -larry
