I have been collecting information about my family for years, and found TMG really good for keeping track of it. I am no expert, though and usually just muddle through using trial and error. Main genealogy interests are New Zealand Yugoslavs/Croatians/Dalmatians; the Nelson area and the 65th regiment. Would be happy to hear from other NZ users.
