Do you mean that I have to restore my V6 data first before changing my current project files options? BTW, I cannot find Data File Storage under the Help. I don't know which paramiter to change for my data files.

I don't believe I'll be upgrading to V7 namely because of the DEFAULY FILE PLACEMENT. I've been using TMG since X.96D. When V4 came out I placed the files in TMG4 folder. Same with V5 to folder TMG5 and V6 to TMG6. If I can't use a folder called TMG7, I won't be upgrading. I can do all the thing that I want with V6.12. If I can someway use my folder naming of TMG7, someone please let me know how that can be done. Thank you.

I have NEVER gotten an update by using "check for update", it just closes down TMG. I always have to go to WG web-site and download from the upgrade link.

I guess that I must be a simpleton because I just add all of the information from the census to the "Head" of the household and add everyone else in the household as "Witnesses" and when I do a report the sentence structure says that they appeared on a census with "Head". That seems to give all the information that I see as pertinent.

I just add the middle name after the first name and everything works out just fine.

I have finally gotten some verification on records of ancestors prior to the Revolutionary War (1650 to 1770). When I enter these birth, marriage, and death records; what do I enter for "country" as obviously the United States of America did not exist as yet? I have considered entering The American Colonies, but that also doesn't appear to be the proper designatio either. Suggestions welcome.

I always enter ' "name" Township' in the City for Census records. I consider Town differently as in municipal size (City-Town-Village). A Township is generally a rural area. I may have a city or town as Jefferson in Jefferson township, therefore I make that distinction. I enter the ED and SD and building locale in the notes for the citation.

I'm not sure exactly when the "FILTERED" heading showed up, but now none of my Military, Education, etc tags are showing. I've used the HELP to try to figure out how to turn off the "FILTERED". Edit > Clear Filter is grayed out. I'm using TMG 6.04. Thanks for any help on this problem.

Finally figured it out. Had to go to preference and tag box.

A spell checker would not have found my mis-key.

I'm a member of 5 various forums and 3 of them have spell checkers which hardly anyone uses. 1 even has a profanity checker. To each hit own.
