  1. Disappearing Projects

Oh, for Pete's sake, Virginia--this a clear case of my seeing what I expected to see, and not what was really there. I didn't change the defaults. But now that I know where to look, I see the project, and SS2.1 works fine. Thanks very much. Terry
  2. Don't know if this query belongs in the other thread about default folders, but as I'm not at all clear on what is going on, I'll start a new topic. When I open TMG7, it is pointing to my project in the TMG7 Project file, which it apparently placed there when I imported it from a TMG6 backup. However, when I physically navigate to that folder, it's empty. I think this may have some connection to the fact that I couldn't get SecondSite 2.1 to work properly--couldn't set the database to the TMG7 projects folder, which again showed empty. Any clue as to what I should do (uninstall TMG6?) would be appreciated. I'm using Windows XP. Terry
  3. Is there a way to get the offspring of a second marriage to appear among the siblings of an ancestor? My father's two half-sisters disappear when I produce an Ancestor Chart. (They also have a double relationship with me which is not calculated by Relationship--their mother, my paternal grandfather's second wife, was my mother's sister! TMG only calculates the "aunt" part, not the "cousin" part.) Thanks, Terry
  4. Thank you for the reply, Terry. These are aspects of TMG I hadn't explored, and I'm glad to learn something new! Terry S.
  5. Thanks, Teresa. I've now double-posted this query because I didn't see your reply--I should have been in the TMG 6 forum when I wrote it. I'll try this method. Terry
  6. Hello, all: I'm preparing a mailing list using the Address tag and the List of Events report. All is going well, except for one oddball record, where I apparently entered a cemetery name as Addressee. This prints out in the middle of my report. I can just delete it, of course, but can someone tell me how I can use TMG to find this erroneous entry and fix it? Thanks, P.S. I had posted this in TMG v. 5 forum--sorry!! I'm using TMG 6. Terry

  8. I'm using the List of Events report for creating a mailing list, with the Address tag. It's working fine, except that in one instance I had entered a cemetery name in an Addressee field for some unknown reason, and this keeps printing out in the middle of my names and addresses . How can I determine which record in my TMG database has the error? Thanks, Terry
