  1. Have you read the disclaimer at the bottom of the edit window? In particular the second sentence! "Please note that all contributions to Genealogy are considered to be released under the GNU Free Documentation License (see project:Copyrights for details). If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then don't submit it here. You are also promising us that you wrote this yourself, or copied it from a public domain or similar free resource. DO NOT SUBMIT COPYRIGHTED WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION!" It is possible for anyone to edit ANY entry, you don't even have to register as a user ....
  2. Attached are two Word Documents (tables) which list the default TMG Source Element Groups and the predefined (default) Source Elements. The predefined Source Elements are highlighted in yellow, and you can add your own custom elements in the remaining light turquoise cells. The table will print in landscape on two 8.5" X 11" sheets of paper. TMG V6.x Source Element Groups TMG_V6.0_Source_Element_Groups.doc TMG V5.x Source Element Groups TMG_Source_Element_Groups.doc
  3. Forum Design

I would find it very helpful to have the link to View New Posts appear at the bottom of the forum pages as well as the top. After scrolling down to read the latest post in a topic it is necessary to scroll all the way back to the top of the page to click the link there. I don't find the Next Oldest and Next Newest links all that helpful, because I may be taken to a topic I may not have any interest in reading.
  4. Forum Design

BillR You can click Site Issues or whatever is between the Next Newest and Next Oldest links at the bottom of the page and that will take you back to the top of the Message List. I don't think it would be too difficult to add a bit of code to add the View New Posts link there as well
  5. Forum Design

Yes the back button does take me back to the list of forum messages BUT if you use the back button the topic you were reading does not get marked as read - folder icon remains orange vs. blue for read topic.
  6. How to use the polling feature

Points well taken, thanks for the response. This forum is really great.
  7. How to use the polling feature

Will there be a "Wish List Forum" composed of polls where users can vote on wish list items?
