  1. I have been trying to figure out the best way to add emails as exhibits. I really don't want to do the Cut and Paste into MS Word thing, I've done that before. Tedious. After some experimenting, I determined that I can drag an email out of either Outlook or Outlook Express, drop it on the desktop, and it acts like a regular file (with an extension of .msg or .eml) If you then click on either of them (on the desktop or in a folder) they start their respective applications and you can view the email, which is just like any other file with a registered application. So I tried attaching them in TMG as "External exhibit (other)", thinking they would act like MS Word or Excel docs. They don't. The .msg file opens Outlook with an error message. The .eml file opens Outlook Express without an error, but it only goes to the main root level screen, it doesn't show the message. I have succeeded in adding the messages as OLE objects, but you lose visibility of the path to the original file. (It's not shown on info tab of the OLE objects properties). Any clue why this doesn't work? Anyone have any better suggestions for saving emails as exhibits?
  2. I found some old datasets from version 4 in my archives and would like to view them. I dusted off my old version 4 CD and installed it, but when I went to open the data sets, it said they were created with v4.d. I have long since lost the patch files. Anyone have the patch to get me to 4.d?
