Answering for Afina. Thanks Helmut!! Afina's use of TMG on her laptop always slowed to a crawl when the upstairs desktop (with our printer attached to it) was off. She made her default printer a pdf printer on her laptop, and things are speedy once again. Why would TMG need to check for a printer before printing is contemplated? Today I was having the same problem with 6.12, but shutting down the wireless allowed me to boot up TMG Afina

All of a sudden today I get this error message on opening TMG v 6.07: Cannot load C/windows/system32/bblistview.ocx. 53 TMGAPOBJ.REGISTERCONTROL . I'm running Windows XP Home, sp2. I have the file ( I looked in the systems32 folder). I saw Barbara's message on the FAQ where it said this error message applies to windows 95 and 98. What do I do? John, Thanks for answering. When I look at the character map in the two settings (̣Western and Vietnam) some letters are indeed missing in Western. (I usually look at the charactermap in Unicode). However, if I set the language to Vietnamese on my computer (in control panel: regional and language options), I get the proper Vietnamese characters in Word, Wordpad, Excel, Firefox. So why not in TMG? I'm new at this, but if TMG support a 256 character/font, and all the Alt +#### codes are below 256, why can't I get them in TMG? Afina

All of a sudden the Master Place List does not show the State Column. Actually, the column shows for a second upon opening the MPL, and then disappears. This happens also in the Sample Project. If I open a place to edit, the State is there, it just doesn't show in the list. Sorry if this has been discussed before Afina Broekman afinab@hotmail.com

Since a few weeks I am unable to run a List of People report. Everytime I get the same eroor message: ErrorMarker:Data type mismatch. 534 R_LOP If I click on Ignore, another message appears: 12Variable 'ROLE' is not found. 501 R_LOP Ignore again: 11Function argument value, type, or count is invalid. 518 R_LOP Retry gives the same results, Abort freezes the program I deleted the report that gave me trouble, and made a new one: same results Mostly the reports are of the type: Tag name, memo empty (or not empty) If I run a list of events for that tag, I do get a list without errors (except once, but could not reproduce it) I know this general problem has come up before, but did not notice any solutions Thanks for any help Afina

After I reinstalled TMG 6 from the CD (after my previous problems) and upgraded again to 6.07, I now realise that I have no other languages than English. Can anyone give any clues to what can have happened? Thanks, Afina

Thanks Virginia, I do have AVG running in the background, but this never interfered before (I have been running 6.07 since it came out). I did uninstall Quicken just before this happened. I was thinking of running an external repair (which as far as I remember was possible in 4), but I can't find the file, so I guess that can't be done anymore. Maybe I will just reinstall and see what happens Afina

One more thing: If I click ignore at the error message in my previous post (cannot load C/windows/system32/bblistview.ocx) I get another error message: OLE error code 0c80040154: Class not registered 40 TMGAPPOBJ.DOFORM Again: what do I do now? Thanks, Afina
