  1. TMG v 7 to TMG v7

Thanks. That is exactly what I want to do.
  2. TMG v 7 to TMG v7

You don't import a v7 project into a v7 project...you want to "Restore" the backup of the project placing it wherever you want it and then merge it with the existing project if you wish. See Terry's site for information on merging project and datasets at http://tmg.reigelridge.com/merging.htm
  3. TMG v 7 to TMG v7

Need some help importing files. I'm using TMG v 7.0. I am trying to import a TMG project into another TMG project using the simple wizard. The wizard only has options to import TMG v. 4 or earlier. The project I want to import was probably started that long ago but I've been adding data in versions up to 7. So... I located the file I wanted to import (using a backup .SQZ file). The program extracts the file and then, apparently, stops. The "Next" button does not go active. Does it just take a long time to process? Or is there something else going on? Thanks
  4. Picklist issues

There is only one data set listed in the data manager. It is called "My Data Set" and has a tick next to it. This data set appears unlocked. Thanks in advance for any further ideas. Brooke
  5. Picklist issues

I used the restore feature to move data backed up on my old computer (using TMG v. 5) to my new computer with TMG v. 6. The picklist will only show the names entered on the new computer and v.6., yet when I search by ID number, the other folks are there. Is there a way to merge the old picklist and the new one?
  6. Moving to a new computer

Thanks, Terry. I've done that before with other programs. I had forgotten about that trick. Best, Brooke
  7. I am moving to a new computer. I have already installed TMG on the new computer but need to transfer my data files to the new set up. Is exporting my data as a GEDCOM file the only way to do this? Or is there some other way? THanks Brooke
