Hi I've resolved the issue , by closing TMG & installing the Amyuni document converter from Programme files/The manster genealogist/rrw/pdfintsall Then I open TMG & from printer setup run "Install pdf printer " ........and it works thanks for showing interest in my problem zane

Hi I'm using TMG 7.04 under Windows 7 . I'm unable to print a report to pdf due to the following message : "Ole 1 Dispatch exception code 1801 from cdinttf_1 printer installation failed" Then attempts to install a pdf also fail due to the following message : "copying ac/mlp:dll file error code 2 The system cannot find the file expected " Any help would be appreciated . Hi In restoring my system to a restore point I was unable to run TMG v7.04 . so I've unsitalled TMG and downloaded/installed the latest verion. However the problem still remain , when I open TMG the follwoing errors appear "File does not exist 59 Appobject.show , then when I click abort another error message appears " Array dimensions are invalid " , the when I click cancel the follwoing message appears : "Unknown member ROSTATUSBAR Method MSHUTDOWN Line ISI Foxcode Table not found is not correct version or is incompatable " then when I press OK "Unknown member ROTLMAN" How do I fix this problem ? Hi I'm wanting to setup Latitude /Longitude Places in TMG so that I can create maps in Second Site , but I'm having probles in TMG. I'v3 located a cemetry on Google maps at Peak Hill NSW Australia and the Latitude /Longitude reads : Latitude: -32.693159 Longitude: 148.189028 I input this into the Master Place field place field L9 which reads Coordinates - as 032693159S014889028W However when I click on the icon for "Get a map of this place " and select "Google maps by Lat/Long " it finds a place in ocean off Somalia in East Africa and obviously not Australia Google maps search line shows : 3.4592 59.0300 However when I select "Google maps by place name " the Google maps search line shows : Peak Hill Cemetery NSW Australia and finds places in the USA but when I change the Google maps search line to : Peak Hill Cemetery Peak Hill NSW .............then presto it locates the correct location in Australia , but why doesn't Peak Hill appear in the search line ?? Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated ? Thanks Zane McCarron

Hi Just a suggestion that TMG takes the exhibit's caption from the files IPTC caption field and that the process be dynamic , so that any changes made to the IPTC caption at a later date are automatically updated to TMG exhibits This would save me many hours of re-entry as I have over 1500 images ?. .....and this would dovetail the workflow for Second site who do pickup the IPTC caption field if TMG exhibit caption field is blank . It worked , thanks zane Zane, I assume you might have the backup file you're trying to restore on an external hard drive, right? If so try the following: save / copy the backup file anywhere on / to your laptop first (i.e. on the desktop of your laptop) and after that try to restore it.

I've received the following error when restoring a backup file onto my Vista Laptop produced from my desktop running XP. The error reads : dyna zip unzip error no files to test , extract ( no itmes match file spec) I'm trying to move the data to my laptop for a field trip . Any thoughts on how to resolve would be appreciated. Then when I return I'm hoping to reverse the backup/ restore process Thanks Zane

Hi I'm using the 7.03 UK version with advanced data entry , but the place styles on event tags frequently defaults to the US style when I would prefer the UK style . How do I make the place style default to be UK since the "Custom styles" under preference is greyed because I'm using the UK version In the Master style list the "US standard" is listed first followed by the "UK standard" and I can't see where I can change the order ? Hi I'm wanting to rename my TMG exibit files into a single folder using the structure under may username name /The Master Genealaohist I'm thinking of using the following structure but would appreciate some critical comment & suggestions from other TMG users , since it's a fairly big task to impliment! File name example : T99999McCarron George W PWED#1 Where : T99999 = "T" + TMG ID code McCarron George W = Surname + 1st name (full) + 2nd name initial PWED = Document type ( see possible list below) #1 = Sequence no for within document type Document types ============ Birth cert = CBRC Death cert = CDE Mariage cert = CMR Baptism = CBA UK Census 1851 = U1851 Newspaper articles = NEWS Photo- portrates = PORT Photo- wedding = PWED Photo- gravestones = PGRAV Photo- others = POTH Sevice records - WW1 = SWW1 Thanks Zane

Hi I've been resizing person photos to 200 x 300 pixels for use on Second site persons page where it looks great being displayed with surrounding text . However when used for events like gravestone's for burial , marriage & place photo's then I'd like a larger size show more details , like reading the gravestone inscriptions . Can somebody recommend a size for these types of photo's ? Thanks Zane

Joan Thanks but I'd prefer UK style for all records , so I need to change those with US style to UK but John Cardinals utility doesn't work for some reason !!. Hence I'm wondering whether there's another method like s restore , reinstallation or copy data to another dataset . I'm getting pretty desperate !! Thanks Zane

Hi I've have TMG vers 6.12 UK version but there's a number persons / events with a US style . To corrcet I've used John Cardinal's Utility but it doesn't seem to have worked . Under preferences it says "These options are not relevant in this localised version of TMG" Any suggestions ?? Then in second site the "Places Index " the Town/City field [L5] is not appearing ?? Could this be related to my TMG problem above ?? Thanks Zane
