since there is no ""Wishlist"-section in the forum, i'll post this here.
One thing i'd really love to see in a genealogy-software would be the option to export my data to Google Earth. No software has this yet! and it would be easy to do. (Since GE uses a very simple XML structure)
It could be created for every place that contains long and lat entries for birth- and deathplaces.
A entry might look like this:
DOE, John (*1825 +1901)
Father: DOE, Jim (Munich) [---this tells you where to look for them..]
Mother: DOODLE, Jane (Frankfurt) [---should be the birthplace...]
Children (with MOODLE, Jeanette):
*1845 DOE, Jane (Cologne)
*1847 DOE John Jr. (Cologne)
If there is another person born in this place, it might follow below.
Maybe one should have the option to export only names and dates or the family (like in the example above.) and of course to export some groups only.
A great thing would be to also create paths to parents and kids, so you could see how the family spread over the years. I don't know if this ist possible with GE, but i think it might somehow.
It's just a idea, but i think others might like it as well.
